I currently support my art practice by working as a freelance fine art and conservation technician.
I have 9 years international gallery experience, including 4 years as a conservation assistant at Auckland Art Gallery in New Zealand.
Over the past 9 years I have worked in NZ and the UK as an art/conservation technician.
Whilst based in the UK, I worked on numerous projects for Norfolk Museums Service, The Sainsbury Centre, The National Trust as well as an extensive restoration/conservation project for a private conservation company Kiffy Stainer-Hutchins & Co.
In New Zealand I have been involved in exhibitions and projects at Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland Central Library and for a private conservation company, Artefacts Conservation.
My experience includes:
Framing and mounting of paintings and various types of works on paper to international conservation standards.
Hanging and installing a wide range of 2-D and 3-D artworks and museum objects within a variety of different galleries and museums.
Specialist packaging and transport projects including couriering valuable artworks.
Collection storage and management solutions.
Condition reporting touring exhibitions and collection works for different institutions.
I am an associate member of the New Zealand Conservators of Cultural Material (NZCCM) and abide by their code of ethics.
